Drug and alcohol addiction can easily dominate your life – trust me, I would know. But thanks to the courteous and caring professional at Yellowstone Recovery Center I have begun my life anew.

I never thought for a second that a treatment center would be able to cure me of my addictions to prescription drugs and alcohol. I feared that I would suffer through the detoxification program, only to be unleashed upon the world with no guidance and direction, and ultimately no clue how to successfully lead a sober life. But Yellowstone Recovery Center is different. During the detoxification process, staff members and former clients will monitor you round the clock. Through their kind words and gentle support, the seemingly frightful detox process suddenly became extremely tolerable.

After undergoing non-medical detox, I was placed into the Residential Treatment center. Positioned in serene Southern California, just two miles from the beach, it is at the treatment center that my true healing began. Admittedly, the rigorous schedule took some getting used to. Drug addicts aren’t exactly used to getting up at 7 in the morning. But after a few days I found myself falling into a routine, and because the staff were all so knowledgeable, sympathetic and friendly, I began welcoming each morning with open arms.

I banked upon being subject to a whole bunch of individual and group counseling sessions, but never did I expect them to prove so helpful. What I didn’t bank upon were all the extra-curricular activities that I would be asked to partake in. Not only was I healing mentally, but thanks to daily meditation routines, yoga and weekly softball games, I suddenly found myself in the best shape of my life.

Thanks to Yellowstone Recovery Center I have been drug and alcohol free for the better part of two years. And because the treatment was so affordable, I did not accrue and additional debt. Thanks Yellowstone for giving me, and 5,000 people like me, their lives back.

What kind of places do you enjoy eating at?

There are so many excellent and wonderful places to eat at in Atlanta, Georgia that it often reminds me of being in New York City because every where you turn there are more and more wonderful places to go to. As for the rest of the community I posted a poll to see what others thought as some of my favorites certainly are the Tavern at Phipps plaza as well as Chops Steakhouse and Lobster bar that is always going neck and neck with the often voted best steakhouse in Atlanta: New York Prime.
