A dedicated student, educator, academic and surgeon, Dr. Steven J. Svabek possesses13 years of professional experience in the orthopedics field. Through hard work andperseverance he has managed to achieve many of the ambitions he had as a youth. Astrong adherence to high standards combined with a friendly bedside disposition has helped as Doctor Steven Svabek become one of the premier orthopedic surgeons within the United States.He currently operates out of the Florida Orthopedic and Spine Center, located in theCoral Springs, Florida area.
Steven underwent vigorous training in preparation for his career as an orthopedicsurgeon. Dedicating the better part of his life to the cause, Steven enrolled in theKirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine at a young age. Upon graduating frommedical school, he spent one year as an intern followed by an orthopedic residency atPeninsula Hospital Center. Finally, he completed his spine fellowship at the University ofColorado, where he also was employed as an Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery.
His professional career consisted of stints in both Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and Indiana.The Johnson Memorial Hospital, located in Franklin, IN recognized his leadership skillsby promoting him to Director of their Spine Surgical Program. He also served for fouryears with the American Health Network before opening the doors to his own privatepractice in 2007.
Dr. Svabek has also contributed to the academic world. He has published many researchpapers that contain valuable insight into the world of orthopedics. Currently, Steven’smain focus is on complex spine pathology and surgical correction.
